Pat Venditte, a "switch-pitcher" who is effective as a reliever throwing right-handed or left-handed, could prove to be an "economical two-for-one" for some Major League team, according to longtime Phillies scout Jerry Lafferty. Venditte throws hard with an over-the-top motion while throwing righty and uses a side-armed delivery and a nasty slider as a lefty. The buzz from scouts is that someone will definitely take a chance on this one-man bullpen.
