A stellar offensive year in 2007 led to David Sappelt being named to the Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Third Team before the 2008 season. The compact outfielder has spent extensive time in both center and left field, but he prefers center. As a sophomore, he broke Coastal Carolina's record for most hits in a single season with a Big South-leading 99 base knocks.
