Bob Horner set a then-NCAA record with 58 home runs during his career at Arizona State and was named MVP of the 1977 College World Series. Horner was drafted first overall out of ASU by the Atlanta Braves and became the rare player to go directly to the Major Leagues where he homered off of Bert Blyleven in his first game. Bob Horner had four home runs in one game on July 6, 1986, one of only 18 players to ever accomplish the feat.
