NC State’s Brayden Fraasman Named Golden Spikes Player of the Week

CARY, N.C. – NC State’s Brayden Fraasman put together a standout weekend at the plate and helped the Wolfpack sweep second-ranked Clemson en route to being named USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award Week 11 Player of the Week presented by Chinook Seedery and DI Baseball.

Fraasman played a key role in the Wolfpack’s first sweep over Clemson since 2018, batting .692 (9-for-13) with seven RBIs and four runs scored on the weekend. The Wolfpack held the Tigers to just eight runs in the series, which is the lowest number of runs scored by the Tigers in a three-game set this season.

Clemson had not lost a series opener in the 2025 season until last Thursday when the Wolfpack earned a 14-4 run-rule victory. Fraasman went a career-high 5-for-5 with seven RBIs and two homers to become just one of three players in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season to have seven or more RBIs in a game. He was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle and it was his first multi-homer outing of the year.

Fraasman continued his big weekend in game two, going 3-for-4 with a run scored to help the Pack clinch the series with an 8-3 win. In the series finale, he tallied a hit and scored a run in a 4-1 win to ultimately sweep the Tigers. He struck out just once in the series.

Thanks to his efforts, Fraasman earned ACC Player of the Week honors on April 28.
