Nick Madrigal has been described as the best player in college baseball by multiple head coaches -- and for good reason. He's been a dynamic offensive and defensive force for the Beavers this season. He's in the top five in the Pac-12 in average (.386), slugging percentage (.558), on-base percentage (.451), runs (46), hits (76), doubles (18), total bases (110) and stolen bases (15) -- the only player in the conference who can make that claim. He's done so at the plate while splitting time between shortstop and second base, where he's among the Pac-12's leaders with 136 assists and has committed just four errors in 206 chances for a .981 fielding percentage.
